
NATALIE O’CONNOR

Natalie has over 10 years experience working as a physiotherapist with children and adults with a range of physical and learning disabilities since qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2010. Natalie began working as a community adult learning disabilities physiotherapist in the NHS before moving on to community paediatrics locally in the NHS in 2016. Throughout her career, Natalie has completed a range of additional specialist training including postural management and aquatic therapy as well as experience of working with individuals with a huge variety different needs and adapting physiotherapy intervention to these needs for example in relation to their communication style or cognitive ability/learning needs. In her current role, Natalie regularly works within a specialist school setting as well as liaising with mainstream school settings in relation to physiotherapy programs, equipment, manual handling and training for staff on postural management. Natalie has completed Cerebral Palsy Integrated Pathway (CPIP) training and has also completed the CPIP train the trainer course to train other physiotherapists in this specialist assessment.
Natalie is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as well as the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (APCP). Natalie holds an Enhanced DBS certificate for adults and children.
Natalie has a wealth of experience in a range of different conditions and age groups. Natalie’s area of expertise and special interest lies in working with children and adults with long-term neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophies or genetic conditions and in assessment and management of those with complex postural management needs.

Natalie continues to work locally in NHS paediatric service as well as being a Mum to two energetic boys. Natalie enjoys being outdoors with her family - walking the dog, paddling her canoe along the river and Morris Dancing!
